Education at Austin Zoo

Classes and Programs
Scavenger Hunts
Download the following scavenger hunts to keep children engaged in learning about various behaviors, adaptations, and habitats of our resident animals.
Scout Programs
Reserve your custom scout workshop, meet badge or patch requirements, or just come out for a fun day of learning.
- 1-hour workshop: $15 per participant
- 2-hour workshop: $20 per participant.
- Both prices include zoo admission
2-hour scout workshops are available only for Junior Girl Scouts and higher, and for Bear Cub Scouts and higher. If you have any questions or would like to reserve a scout program, contact us at EDUCATION@AUSTINZOO.ORG.
Please remember, a $30 deposit is required at time of booking
School Outreach Programs
Let the Zoo come to you! Traveling program options for pre-K through fifth grades are available. If you have any questions or would like to reserve a school outreach program, please contact us at EDUCATION@AUSTINZOO.ORG.
Community Outreach Programs
Austin Zoo offers outreach programs for community organizations such as churches, public libraries and senior citizen facilities. Each program includes audience participation and the opportunity to meet some of our ambassador animals!

Cancellation Policy
All education program and camp sales are final. All programs will take place rain or shine. In the event that we cancel your program due to reasons we deem appropriate, a full refund will be issued, and individuals will be contacted directly.
